Lotus ERG network

Lotus and ERG: Combining CRO and Site Network

Through our ownership affiliation, Lotus is able to leverage ERG’s wholly-owned network of clinical research sites and industry-recognized Principal Investigators. Their expertise includes neuropsychiatric/neurocognitive raters, certified movement disorder clinicians and raters, licensed clinical psychologists, and licensed compounding pharmacists.

Specialized Facilities for Neurologic Research Studies

ERG’s dedicated standalone clinical research units offer access to a full spectrum of neuroimaging and psychometric testing for cognitive disorders, as well as APOE genetic testing, on-site cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sampling and serial CSF sampling capabilities in CLIA-waived laboratories. We also are able to house both patients and caregivers for short- or long-term clinical research studies.

Targeted Patient Recruitment

ERG’s dedicated recruitment team starts with our robust network of referring neurologists, family practitioners, and psychiatrists/ psychologists, as well as community outreach—especially in snowbird locations with large elderly populations. We bolster those efforts by working closely with targeted affiliations, such as the Alzheimer’s Association, the Global Alzheimer’s Platform, the International Essential Tremor Foundation, and The Michael J. Fox Foundation. All these recruitment sources extend our own robust database of over 215,000 patients, ensuring rapid enrollment for neurological clinical research trials.

Sleep Disorders

Many patients with neurological conditions often suffer from sleep disturbance as well. Our sleep experts and specialized sites can support measuring sleep as a primary or secondary endpoint.

Dedicated sleep labs are equipped with:

  • Digital and paper PSG capabilities with high-precision monitoring instruments and wireless amplifiers for maximum patient comfort
  • Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT)
  • Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWT)
  • Electroencephalograms (EEG)
  • Electromyographs (EMG)
  • Digital 32-channel oximeters
  • SEDT (secure electronic data transfer)
  • Lab draw station complete with a centrifuge and a refrigerator for sample storage
